Synopsis
Malcontents of the Zodiac Cartel and the
Avengers were both shot into space in a booby-trapped warehouse by the
Zodiac leader, Taurus. After a short battle, the Avengers and Zodiac
decide to focus their energies on finding a way back to Earth in order
to stop Taurus.
Meanwhile on Earth, Zodiac member Libra decides to stop remaining
neutral on the current events and (with the aid of Gimini’s twin
brother) work to help the Avengers and Zodiac get back to Earth. Once on
Earth, they confront Taurus one more time, and during the fight he is
knocked into the water. The Vision freezes and is unable to bring
himself to save Van Lunt, leaving Mantis to rescue him.
With the Zodiac defeated, Libra reveals the real reason why he helped save the Avengers: That he is the father of Mantis.
Notes
- In this issue, the Vision’s inability to dive into a pool of water provides another clue to his prior identity as the orginal Human Torch (Jim Hammond). This is explained through Avengers 133-135 (in Italy on THC # 143/145).
