Quando creò tutti questi personaggi strampalati con caratteristiche improbabili e frequenti protagonisti di situazioni assurde o addirittura inverosimili , Stan Lee era abbastanza consapevole dei danni impressionanti ed irreversibili che avrebbe causato in svariate generazioni di lettori, ma non poteva immaginare che la nefasta influenza della sua insana dottrina si sarebbe col tempo spinta talmente oltre da essere foriera di siffatte e palesi sciagure fino al tracollo e al collasso completo del sistema di culturale occidentale.
Anche qui da noi in Italia il bilancio dei danni è ancora appena provvisorio e incalcolabile : secondo i dati dell’ Istat, ancora oggi i Fantastic Four sono il gruppo di quadrumani più noto, famoso ed imitato, molto più del Quartetto Cetra, dei 4+4 di nora orlandi, dei quattro cani per strada, dei quattro dell’ oca selvaggia, dei quattro spose per sette fratelli, dei quattro + quaranta gatti, dei tre moschettieri che in realtà sono poi quattro, dei quattro allegri ragazzi morti e di aldo giovanni e giacomo.

Synopsis
Continued from last issue….
Realizing what Johnny has done, Sue goes after him and ends up getting captured by the Wizard, and Johnny is also captured shortly after.
The two work together and free themselves from the Wizard’s trap and capture him, and take him back into custody. Later Sue scolds Johnny for going off on his own.
ecco ora un nuovo episodio dei Fantastici Quattro, ed ecco puntualmente un nuovo nemico, che stavolta è il sovraesposto Hulk, mentre si accende in casa marvel la polemica riguardante i modi ed i criteri di assegnazione degli avversari, con metodi e procedure che somigliano sempre più a quelli usati per la designazione degli arbitri nella serie A di calcio, dove ogni volta te ne tocca uno peggiore

Synopsis
The Fantastic Four are visited by General Ross, who asks the FF for help in capturing the Hulk, who he believes is responsible for sabotaging his New Mexico base.
Traveling there, the FF are begin their search for the Hulk even though Bruce Banner and Rick Jones believe the damage is being caused by someone else calling himself the “Wrecker”.
When Banner becomes aware of another attack planned by the Wrecker, he uses his Gamma-Ray machine to turn himself into the Hulk once more and searches the underground tunnels under the base to find the Wrecker.
Instead he finds the Fantastic Four and gets into a battle with the Thing.
As the battle reaches it’s climax, the two titans find the real saboteur, the Wrecker in a giant robot that is causing all the destruction.
With the FF dealing with Karl Kort, the pilot of the Wrecker robot, the Hulk manages to escape.
After Kort is turned over to the military authorities, the FF are thanked by the base and Bruce Banner, and depart for home. Watching them leave, the Hulk has a feeling he will meet the FF again.

- The cover art is homaged in:
– Thor #404 (June 1989, in Italy in THPP # 41) - This is the very first Marvel crossover. Ironically, Fantastic Four #12 came out in the same month as Incredible Hulk #6 (in Italy in URC # 66/67), which was the final issue of the Hulk’s original title.

“The Threat of the Torrid Twosome” / LA MINACCIA DEL TERRIBILE DUO

Synopsis
After a training session, Johnny is visited by Carl Zante, the “worlds greatest acrobat” to convince the Torch to join him.
Convincing him that he is the most valuable member of the Fantastic Four and that he is could make a living working with the Acrobat, the two form a partnership as the Torrid Twosome.
Zante tricks the Torch into breaking into a bank vault telling him that somebody was trapped inside.
However, the Torch realizes the truth and when he doesn’t want to go along with Zante to rob the bank, the Acrobat uses a hose to douse the Torch’s flame.
However, when as the Acrobat is escaping the bank he is confronted by the other members of the Fantastic Four.
The Torch recovers his flame powers and helps his fellow Fantastic Four members in capturing Zante and turning him over to the police. Realizing that he made a mistake in teaming up with Zante, Johnny rejoins the Fantastic Four and is welcomed back with open arms.

Synopsis
After an experiment on a strange meteor fragment, Reed Richards wants to take a rocket to the Blue Area of the Moon where it came from.
While they are blasting off over in the Soviet Union, the Red Ghost and his trained apes fly into space as well, in a ship that will allow them to be exposed to even more Cosmic Rays than the Fantastic Four during their maiden flight into space.
Arriving on the moon at the same time, the Red Ghost attacks the Fantastic Four with his Super-Apes, drawing the attention of Uatu the Watcher.
The Watcher explains that his race has been charged with watching and recording the history of the universe.
Growing wear of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, the Watcher has the FF and the Red Ghost battle to determine which nation is more superior.

Notes
- This issue marks the first time that the Fantastic Four successfully journeyed into space using a vehicle built by Reed Richards.
- Mister Fantastic miraculously designed and constructed a paralysis ray that operated on the same molecular level as the Red Ghost’s own atomic body structure, apparently from components of the Fantastic Four’s ICPM.
