Synopsis 

Fed up with being the “fall guy” of the group, Ben leaves the Fantastic Four and leaves New York City for Jersey, however as he sleeps in the open, he is captured by the Frightful Four. The Wizard uses a hypnosis machine to make Ben their obedient slave.

When the FF find a lead on where Ben is, they travel out to New Jersey and are soon attacked by the Frightful Four, and during the fight Thing arrives and attacks his former comrades. The Things added strength is what the Frightful Four needed to defeat the Fantastic Four, and all the members are bound by different booby-trapped restraints. With Reed glued to a wall with the Trapster’s paste, the Wizard convinces the Thing that it’s Reed’s fault that he’s a monster and convinces him to that he should kill Reed.

Synopsis

Continued from last issue…

Mar-Vel returns to his ship where he gets the cold shoulder from Una. Ronan the Accuser calls in and orders Mar-Vell to try and forge an alliance with the Organization, as the Kree empire sees the Organization as potential allies in a future conquest of Earth.

Returning to Earth and adopting his guise of “Lawson”, Mar-Vell is driving with Carol when they are attacked by the Organization. Allowing Carol to be knocked out, Mar-Vell changes into Captain Marvel to seek out the Organization, however he is unaware that they capture Carol. When Mar-Vell approaches Number-One of the Organization with the idea of a truce, he learns that Carol is their prisoner. Mar-Vell decides to free Carol, and turns on the Organization.

However, when they use an aging ray on Mar-Vell, in spite of his advanced age, Mar-Vell gets a hold of the weapon, reverses his own advanced aging and uses the weapon to destroy the Organization, and flees with Carol as their base is destroyed.

When Mar-Vell returns to the Kree ship, Ronan is so enraged by Mar-Vell’s betrayal he orders Yon-Rogg to be executed. When Una travels to Earth to try and prevent them from assassinating Mar-Vell she is stunned. When she revives, she manages to get to Mar-Vell just before the Kree soldiers are about to assassinate Mar-Vell.

Synopsis

Mar-Vell is about to be execute, and as Una attempts to stop the execution, the Kree soldiers charged with assassinating Mar-Vell are killed by an Aakon attack party. As a battle erupts between the Kree and the Aakon, Una is fatally injured, prompting Mar-Vell to flee with Una’s body.

Seeking to try and save her life, Mar-Vell steals one of the rockets from the Cape in the hopes of getting Una to the Kree galaxy to save her life with their advanced technology. However, the trip is too long and Una dies before Mar-Vell can get her medical help.

Burying Una on an asteroid, Mar-Vell goes back to Earth to try and get revenge againsy Yon-Rogg.

However, Yon-Rogg intercepts Mar-Vell’s ship, and uses his ship’s tractor beam to throw Mar-Vell out into the deepest reaches of space.

Notes

Although the beings that attacked the Kree soldiers about to execute Mar-Vell are identified as members of the Aakon race, artist Dick Ayers drew the attackers in uniforms similar to that of the Organization. As the Organization was destroyed in the previous issue, this was probably an art mistake which couldn’t be corrected due to time constraints.
