sogno americano offre una gamma di possibilità sterminate ed
inimmaginabili per riuscire ad affermarsi e sfondare nella vita,
infatti negli Stati Uniti chi non ha voglia di faticare può scegliere
tra tre alternative: fare il pornodivo, la rockstar, oppure il
super-eroe.

particolarmente dotato per quel che riguardava le dimensioni dell’
attrezzo nè per le sue prestazioni endurance, e soprattutto essendo
irrimediabilmente e scandalosamente stonato, Steve Rogers optò per la
terza soluzione, e si dedicò all’ attività di buffone mascherato,

essendo mai stato un modello di continuità e assiduità , cominciò però
ben presto a prendersi delle lunghe pause di riposo e a rimanere spesso
e volentieri a casa in mutua adducendo le patologie più disparate e
insolite grazie a certificati medici compiacenti, mentre in realtà non
aveva nulla e stava benissimo, negli anni del dopoguerra marcò visita
addirittura per circa 15 anni consecutivi, finchè Stan Lee non lo trovò
indecorosamente ubriaco in un bar del bronx nell’ orario della visita
fiscale, e lo precettò costringendolo a tornare al lavoro. ma il lupo,
si sa, perde il pelo ma non il vizio, e così anche ultimamente ha
tirato indietro le sue chiappettine incartapecorite facendo finta di
essere morto, gli hanno anche fatto il funerale, ma tanto non ci crede
nessuno, si tratta invece certamente di una raffinata strategia di
tanatosi mimetica, cui ricorrono anche molti animali come l’ opossum,
il cinghiale, l’ insetto foglia o il serpente muso di porcello, insomma
è tutta una vile e diabolica scusa per non fare un bel nulla
nelle
edicole italiane il n.1 di CAP uscì il 23 Aprile 1973, ovvero alla
immediata vigilia della austerity, e già questa piccola ma non
trascurabile coincidenza avrebbe dovuto far toccare le palle a qualcuno
all’ interno della Corno. infatti anche qui da noi svernò parecchi anni
da vero e proprio mangiapane a tradimento, stipendiato senza fare un
cacchio, finchè non ha provveduto Brunetta a sistemarlo con il suo provvidenziale ed inesorabile decreto anti-fannulloni

una volta presa la tribolatissima decisione di far morire CAP cominciano i problemi post-trapasso : oltre a mettere costume e scudo all’ asta su ebay, bisogna anche cristianamente stabilire se deve essere mandato in paradiso o all’ inferno, e a tal proposito ecco che si fa avanti un certo Lucifero accampando pretese e diritti sull’ anima del povero mortaccino, ma prima però deve fare i conti con Falcon ed il suo uccello che nel frattempo è ritornato almeno barzotto
contiene : l’ ex LUKE CAGE da poco ribattezzato POWERMAN (traduzione letterale: poveruomo, infatti è davvero un miserabile tapino, ed oltretutto pure di colore, ma anche nonostante ciò è così talmente sfigato da riuscire a trovare in questo episodio pure uno che gli usurpa il nome)

Synopsis
Despite the pleas of his partner the Falcon, Steve Rogers remains
firm in his conviction not to continue his role as Captain America.
Harlem is terrorized when the super-powered alien Lucifer arrives. In
order to keep anchored in Earth’s dimension, Lucifer merges his essence
with the criminal Rafe Michel and the super-powered Aries.
The Falcon is unable to defeat the two Lucifers by himself and remains
angered that Steve Rogers would not assist him in his battle. Lucifer
escapes the police with the help of the Harlem Crime-Boss Morgan who contracts Lucifer to kill the Falcon once and for all.

Synopsis
Following the defeat of Cottonmouth, Luke Cage gets the front page
lines he craved, heralding Power Man as a hero. Arriving at Noah’s
clinic, he learns that Claire has left town, Noah gives him a letter
from her explaining that she has to leave, possibly for good.
In a foul mood, Luke returns to the Gem theater where he is
attacked by the criminal known as Power Man. The criminal Power Man
demands a battle to determine who has the rights to the name “Power
Man”. Even though there is a little girl trapped in the theater during
the battle, Luke manages to defeat the evil Power Man, and claim the
right to use his name. After he takes the little girl out to get some
ice cream.
Notes
- Following this battle against Luke Cage, Erik Josten would
cease using the Power Man name, and would settle on the name “The
Smuggler” for a short period after this battle.
Trivia
- The films being shown at the Gem Theatre this issue are Shane (Il cavaliere della valle solitaria) and 3:10 to Yuma (Quel treno per Yuma). A further indication that the Gem shows movies that were not current at the time.

“The Hands of Death” / LE MANI DELLA MORTE

Synopsis
A woman’s car breaks down in an area where women have been strangled
and since she is frightened she tries to take shelter in a nearby house.
The person behind the door is bundled up like an old woman and tells
her that she doesn’t want to open the door, but the young lady pleads,
and she relents. When the woman gets a look at the bundled person’s arm,
she sees that he is a man, and assumes he is the strangler. She
screams, and another man breaks in the door, but the new man on the
scene is actually the stranger. The bundled person tosses aside his
disguise and kills the strangler, apologizes to the woman for
frightening her, and explains that the strangler had murdered his wife
and so he had disguised himself as bait.
