I FANTASTICI 4 GIGANTE
EDITORIALE CORNO, 1978

Synopsis
After a training session the Human Torch goes over his scrap book of past adventures, and recalls his previous battles against the Wizard and Paste Pot Pete, wondering what his old foes are up to today.
Coincidentally enough, at that very moment Paste Pot Pete is busy breaking the Wizard out of prison so that the two may conspire on how to defeat their mutual foe.
Using the Wizard’s suit that mimics the Human Torch’s powers, the two begin to commit crimes that would case the press to accuse the Human Torch of being a spy. However, when the Torch sets a trap to lure the two crooks to try and rob one of the worlds richest men, the Torch himself gets captured and placed into a giant hall of mirrors by his foes. The Torch however uses his flame powers to break free and manages to capture the two crooks and turn them over to the police.

Synopsis
The Torch’s popularity has waned due to negative editorials made by newscaster Ted Braddock who have been turning public opinion against Johnny.
When a new villain known as the Eel steals Project X, a miniature atomic pile, the Torch with the help of Charles Lawson, the inventor of the device goes after the Eel.
When the device is at risk of explosion, the Torch tries to convince the Eel to give over the device. The Eel does not believe him and continues his attack.
The Torch is forced to use his powers to take down the Eel’s copter and battle him on the ground. The Torch manages to capture Project X leaving the Eel with the arriving authorities. Johnny takes the bomb out to a safe place where it detonates and he attempts to absorb the heat and flames from the explosion.
He succeeds but is seriously injured and Reed Richards uses a device to try and heal Johnny.
After Johnny recovers, Braddock retracts all his negative statements about the Human Torch and declaring him a hero.

Synopsis
After watching the news coverage of their battle against Doctor Doom, Reed and Sue prepare to go on a test run to the Hawaiian islands in the new experimental passenger I.C.B.M. device.
While they are gone the Torch and the Thing go on separate dates.
Meanwhile, in the fifth quadrant of the Andromeda galaxy, the emperor of the Skrulls has finalized his plans to destroy the Fantastic Four after his people’s last failed attempt to invade the Earth. This time the Skrulls have created a new warrior called the Super-Skrull who can mimic all of the abilities of the Fantastic Four but is far more powerful than his foes.
After demonstrating his powers, the Super-Skrull is given orders to conquer the Earth.
A week later, the Fantastic Four are out shopping when they hear radio reports that an alien being had landed in Times Square.
They arrive just as the Super-Skrull had declared the Earth as belonging to the Skrulls and planting the Skrull flag.
When a mob of people confronts the alien, the Super-Skrull easily bats them aside. When the group tries to battle the Super-Skrull, they find that they are no match for his superior abilities, especially when he combines them and uses his naturally born Skrull shape-shifting powers.
When the Fantastic Four are forced to flee the scene, the Super-Skrull allows them to leave, planning on going after them later.
Back in his lab, Reed begins investigating the source of the Super-Skrull’s power as they are not natural.
He soon deduces that the energies needed to power him are beamed from the Skrull homeworld. With this knowledge, Reed constructs a device that will jam the Super-Skrull’s powers.
The FF then goad the Skrull into meeting them on a deserted island for their final battle. There, the Fantastic Four keep the Super-Skrull occupied while the Invisible Girl plants the jamming device on their foe.
The device works as planned, blocking the energies needed to power the Super-Skrull. Without his powers, the Skrull is knocked into a crater on the island and is trapped below by the Torch who uses his powers to fuse sand over the opening.
Notes
- Emperor Dorrek VII was not named until Fantastic Four #205 (in Italy in F4C #245) , he is identified as the 4th Dorrek in Marvel: The Lost Generation #11 (unpublished in Italy).
- The Fantastic Four first fought the Skrulls in Fantastic Four #2 (in Italy in F4C #1-2)

Synopsis
While witnessing the Human Torch stopping a crime, Orson Kasloff dwells on the fact that he is an under appreciated scientist and that he could make a better living as a master criminal using his scientific mind to pull off perfect crimes.
After his first attempt at burgling fails, he decides he’ll end the threat of the Human Torch to criminals everywhere. Creating a chemically treated suit of armor and weapons made of asbestos, Kasloff becomes the Asbestos Man.
Challenging the Human Torch to a public battle, he manages to outsmart the Human Torch delivering a humiliating defeat to the hero and giving Asbestos Man the credentials to get hired on by a local crime boss. However, when he pulls off an actual crime, the Torch challenges Asbestos Man again, using his flame powers to eat all the oxygen around Asbestos Man instead of trying to burn him, forcing Asbestos Man and his crooks to surrender.
