Synopsis
With Janus the Nega-Man in the Negative Zone, Reed has Ben and Johnny
recall back to the time they battled a bank robber named the Nega-Man
who used Nega-energy as a weapon. In the flashback we learn that the
Nega-Man is named Janus, a former colleague of Reed Richards from State
U. who used the Nega-Energy to try and heal his damaged legs, however it
created an evil doppelganger instead, which the good Janus eventually
killed.
In the present, Sue returns from her visit to see Franklin, and
as the Four begin to figure out what to do about the Nega-Man, they are
shocked to see the portal to the Negative Zone open up, and Annihilus
cross over into the positive mater universe.

Synopsis
The US President issues an executive order calling for Namor to be
brought in dead or alive. Namor continues his search for his father, but
it isn’t long before he’s spotted by the police and pursued. Meanwhile,
Llyra and Tiger Shark work together and unleash the sea monster Krago.
With the help of the Human Torch, Namor drives back Krago.

Synopsis
Rick Jones is at Avengers Mansion. His girlfriend Lou Ann lies
comatose. Her energy is slowing being drained by a small disc that
cannot be removed without killing her. Rick Jones summons Captain
Marvel via his nega bands to tell the Avengers about the menace and
plans of the evil Titan Thanos. While this discussion takes place, the
Controller has slipped into the mansion. He stealthily separates and
defeats all of the Avenges in short order. He then approaches Captain
Marvel telling him that he has come to retrieve Lou Ann for his employer
Thanos.

Notes
- Issues 25-33 of Captain Marvel are referred to as “The Thanos War”.
- Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) gives a spare costume to Captain Marvel in this issue. She previously gave a new costume to Goliath in Avengers 28 and will later give a new costume to Wonder Man in Avengers 161. She appears to have some interest at this time as a costume designer/seamstress.
