editoriale Corno ad affacciarsi
nelle edicole italiane e a farsi conoscere, apprezzare ed amare dal grande pubblico dei lettori di comics della nostra penisola, a partire dal Maggio 1970
diversissimo e divergente dall’
arrampicamuri, costume da saltimbanco a parte, per quanto riguarda il
profilo umano e psichico, la struttura sintattica e semantica e la
cogenza sociale e simbolica dell’ eroe, il diavolo cecato diventa
ben presto un martire inopportuno e insoddisfatto del cinismo insano e
criminale delle arti figurative che lo consacrano a
sofferente e mendace emblema dell’ autocoscienza e della
catarsi di milioni di devianti, menomati, diversamente abili, portatori
di handicap, anormali, disadattati e inadatti.
Ciechi, stralocchi, miopi e strabici, urbi et
orbi si riconoscono e si identificano in lui, e ne fanno, molti
anni prima dell’ avvento definitivo e trionfale di Annalisa
Minetti, il loro fiero simbolo di lotta, affermazione e
rivalsa, portabandiera e messia della biodiversità oculistica, della
democrazia oftalmica, della pari opportunità delle diottrie, della
lungimiranza, delle ottiche pluralistiche e delle larghe
vedute

Synopsis
Continued from last issue…
After defeating them all and turning them over to the police. DD returns as Matt Murdock to the hospital to see that Foggy is all right and later Foggy is discharged from the hospital.
chi je tocca nun se ngrugna e nell’ episodio che segue stavolta tocca proprio all’ ipovedente Diavolo Rosso vedersela (in senso metaforico e spianando per l’occasione il suo nuovo sgargiante costume rosso ferrari) con l’umidiccio Principe anfibio Sub-Mariner che nella silver age aveva già ripetutamente scassato la uallera più volte ad Avengers, X-Men ma soprattutto ai poveri Fantastici 4 che sfiniti ed esausti glielo hanno mannato in attesa che finalmente tra poco possa riavere la sua serie personale (su Tales of Astonish a partire dal n.70 tre mesi dopo) e smetterla di rompere il cazzo agli altri supereoi che per campare si fanno un culo così dalla mattina alla sera

“In Mortal Combat with… Sub-Mariner!” / DEVIL CONTRO SUB-MARINER !

Synopsis
The Sub-Mariner, in order to deal with his restless people (and the goading of Warlord Krang), appears on the surface world and forces his way into the law office of Nelson and Murdock in order to seek the audience of a lawyer.
Namor seeks to sue the surface world for its exploitation of the sea, however when Murdock explains how ridiculous the notion is, Namor goes on a rampage across the city.
Donning his brand new Daredevil costume, Matt goes after and battles Namor in order to convince him to turn himself over to the authorities to answer for the damage that he’s done.
Although Namor wins the fight, he admires Daredevil’s courage in facing the monarch of the deep, and so Namor turns himself over to the authorities.
However, as the court case starts, Lady Dorma arrives to inform Namor that Warlord Krang has started an uprising in Atlantis, however, when Namor tries to leave the authorities to try to keep him from getting away.
Murdock manages to talk Namor out of fighting and to follow the law, Namor decides to comply for 24 hours. However, when the wheels of justice are unable to turn fast enough for Namor, he breaks out of jail and in spite of Daredevil’s attempt to stop him manages to escape into the sea in order to deal with the uprising in his native land.

Siccome il prestigio di un supereroe è direttamente proporzionale alla quantità di nemici che ha (ma purtroppo non alla loro qualità) allora ecco che ogni giorno ne salta fuori uno nuovo (che poi tanto i guadagni conseguenti se li dividono a mezzo): nell’ episodio a seguire ad esempio debutta lo svettante e sgambatissimo Stilt Man

Synopsis
Daredevil saves a woman from an out of control car, however when he hops aboard the speeding vehicle to stop it his radar sense warns him that there is a bomb on board the vehicle. As this is happening, a helicopter carrying a payroll is robbed by a new criminal called Stilt Man.
While this is happening, Daredevil manages to drive the car with the explosives into the pier before it can harm anybody else. He soon spots the Stilt Man but is unable to stop him before he can get away.
Later, back in his civilian guise of Matt Murdock, DD is told about Dr. Van Eyck, a doctor from Boston who might be able to restore Matt’s lost eyesight by his secretary Karen.
However, before Matt can respond to Karen about if he will seek the treatment, they are interrupted by the entrance of Foggy with Matt’s next client Wilbur Day, a former employee of Kaxton Laboratories, where he invented hydraulic lifts which his boss Carl Kaxton had stolen the patents. Murdock then calls Kaxton to tell him that his former employee intends to sue him, a threat which Kaxton encourages them to follow through on.
Later in his Daredevil guise, DD unsuccessfully battles Stilt Man, who manages to get away once again.
Later, when meeting with Wilbur again, Kaxton arrives at the office to contest the law suit. While the two argue over who owns the rights to the hydraulic device, Matt notices that one of them is lying due to an irregular heart beat, but can’t figure out which one is the liar because they are too close together.
Following Kaxton as Daredevil, he’s quickly shaken off by Kaxton who realizes he’s being followed. DD cannot resume his tailing because of reports that Stilt Man is causing havoc again. He again fails to stop Stilt Man.
Returning to Day, the two go to confront Kaxton directly. There they find the hydrolic lifts, which turn out to be Stilt Man’s stilts.
Attacked by Kaxton with a gun, Day manages to knock Kaxton out, and then reveals to Murdock that he’s really Stilt Man, and that he came to steal a shrinking device from Kaxton before knocking Murdock out.
Taking the device and making a run for it in his stilts, Day is followed by Daredevil and in the battle, the shrinking ray is turned on Day who shrinks so small that he disappears from sight.
Returning to the Nelson and Murdock law office, Matt is confronted by Kaxton, but Murdock tells him that Day has dropped the law suit and they decide to let the whole thing go. After, when Karen presses the subject of Matt seeing Dr. Van Eyck to restore his lost vision, Matt tells her that it’s too much of a risk causing her to storm out of the room calling Matt a coward.
Non tutti i duchi sono uguali, e nella fattispecie non tutti i duchi sono educati verso i loro sudditi, alcuni sono assai birichini e si divertono a maltrattare, vessare ed opprimere la vile plebaglia. E’ il caso dell’ avversario di Devil nell’ episodio che segue : uno spregevole tiranno che tra l’altro era stato suo compagno di banco ad un master di giurisprudenza.

Synopsis
After busting up some crooks that are trying to make an escape through New York harbor, Daredevil gets shot in the arm for all his trouble. Patching up his wound and resuming his civilian guise, Matt Murdock reports for work at his office where Karen informs him that Dr. Van Eych, the doctor who could possibly restore Matt’s sight has recently moved to the country of Lichtenbad.
They meet with Foggy who is “preparing” for the arrival of a former exchange student/classmate from their post-secondary days named Klaus Kruger who is the Duke of Lichtenbad who is coming to visit.
When Klaus arrives, Matt asks him about Van Eych’s treatment for the blind, Klaus verifies the claims, and Matt asks to go along, because he senses that Klaus is lying about something.
Flying to Lichtenbad, Matt witnesses a botched assassination attempt on the Duke, and all day his radar sense picks up evidence that the Duke runs a dictatorship of oppression over his people.
Helping the resistance movement in his Daredevil guise, DD gets into direct conflict with the Duke and his knights.
After freeing the prisoners in the Duke’s castle, DD resumes his civilian guise and sees the doctor about his treatment.
While back in the States, Karen’s obvious affection for Matt visibly angers Foggy who reacts jealously. Back in Lichtenbad, Matt’s treatments are interrupted when Von Eych’s treasonous remarks are heard and the knights take him away.
Changing back to Daredevil, Matt helps the people of Litchenbad fight off the Duke’s men and in a battle with the Duke. The Duke informs him that he will release a Cobalt Cloud to kill everyone, this is overheard by Van Eycht who sacrifices his life to stop this from happening.
During the fight with Daredevil, the ends up falling to his death. Daredevil soon realizes that the Dr. sacrificed himself to save everyone.
Back in New York, Karen receives a memo from Matt explaining that the surgery wasn’t done, leaving Foggy to jealously assume that Matt chickened out at the last moment.
