editoriale Corno ad affacciarsi
nelle edicole italiane e a farsi conoscere, apprezzare ed amare dal grande pubblico dei lettori di comics della nostra penisola, a partire dal Maggio 1970
diversissimo e divergente dall’
arrampicamuri, costume da saltimbanco a parte, per quanto riguarda il
profilo umano e psichico, la struttura sintattica e semantica e la
cogenza sociale e simbolica dell’ eroe, il diavolo cecato diventa
ben presto un martire inopportuno e insoddisfatto del cinismo insano e
criminale delle arti figurative che lo consacrano a
sofferente e mendace emblema dell’ autocoscienza e della
catarsi di milioni di devianti, menomati, diversamente abili, portatori
di handicap, anormali, disadattati e inadatti.
Ciechi, stralocchi, miopi e strabici, urbi et
orbi si riconoscono e si identificano in lui, e ne fanno, molti
anni prima dell’ avvento definitivo e trionfale di Annalisa
Minetti, il loro fiero simbolo di lotta, affermazione e
rivalsa, portabandiera e messia della biodiversità oculistica, della
democrazia oftalmica, della pari opportunità delle diottrie, della
lungimiranza, delle ottiche pluralistiche e delle larghe
vedute
all’ interno 4 episodi (3 completi , e la prima parte di un altro che si concluderà nell’ albo successivo) in cui il diavolo rosso si trova come sempre costretto a brancicare in una giungla urbana affollatissima di bestie feroci sia a due che a quattro zampe
l’ ultima storia (di cui in questo numero sono pubblicate soltanto le prime 6 pagine) è stata inserita a buon diritto nella cronologia uffuciale di Devil anche se è in realtà è tratta da un albo di IRON MAN che però crossoverizza con il prossimo Daredevil # 72

Synopsis
Far right motion picture star Buck Ralston has made an appearance on Hollywood Boulevard to speak to a crowd about his perceived lack of patriotism in America. After engaging Karen Page in a debate on Patriotism to the level of extremism, Buck Ralston leaves to plot how to get back at the “pinkos” he perceives are ruining American society.
While in New York, DD becomes involved in controlling a riot which has broken out at the New York Hilton between the police and protesters during the Vice President’s visit to the city. While back on the west coast, we learn that Ralston is taking the law into his own hands as the costumed judge, jury and executioner known as the Tribune and has his goons round up hippies that he finds treasonous and executes them with his energy blasting gavel.
Tribune has some of his men plant explosives at the Hilton in New York in hopes that hippies will be blamed, hoping it will “wake up” America, however this plan is made complicated with the involvement of Daredevil. While DD fails to stop the bomb from detonating, he prevents it from hurting anyone, even though one of the protesters checking on DD gets arrested.
The young men arrested on a bum wrap (dubbed the “New York Three”) regarding the explosion, get the attention of Tribune who plans to go to New York to execute them, while Foggy and Matt prepare to (begrudgingly) represent the city in court and prove their guilt, even though both feel that the New York Three are innocent.

Synopsis
Defusing street violence by night as Daredevil, Matt Murdock also helps Foggy Nelson during the day with the court case against the New York Three. As they prepare for the court case, Buck Ralston travels to New York in order to personally execute the Three in his costumed identity of Tribune, believing them to be all guilty of Anti-Americanism.
On the day of the big trial, Tribune kills the judge that will be presiding over the case and then takes control of the court room. Daredevil intervenes which leads to a battle between DD, Tribune, and his hired thugs. Daredevil easily beats Tribune’s goons, and Tribune makes his retreat. Trying to get away in a helicopter it explodes and Tribune seemingly perishes. Weeks later, in the D.A.’s office, Foggy is relieved that he’s actually lost a court case for once in his career, as the New York Three are ruled not-guilty of their crimes. Catching a televised soap box of Buck Ralston on TV, Matt being weary of hearing people rabble-rousing, turns off the TV, little knowing that Ralston was the villain he fought and believed dead weeks earlier.

Synopsis
After a series of strange sightings of a Leopard skin-dressed man and
a leopard running loose in New York City, Daredevil investigates and
ends up befriending the being, known as Tagak, who came to our dimension
through a magical mirror and is in pursuit of a criminal from his home
world. DD helps Tagak capture the thief and return him to Tagak’s
reality to face punishment for his crimes, although Tagak’s leopard (who
facilitated his ability to see) was killed during the episode by police
bullets.

Synopsis
With Jasper Sitwell seriously wounded by the Spymaster, Iron Man vows revenge on the spy, though he blames himself for Jasper’s situation. Reading about Jasper’s situation in the newspaper, Madam Masque realizes her true feelings for the SHIELD agent.
Meanwhile, Iron Man interrogates Spymasters captured accomplices, with Stark Industries lawyer Matt Murdock in comapny. Murdock stops Iron Man from getting violent with the crooks, frustrated Iron Man walks off resolving to find Spymaster on his own.
