Cod.EA CAPITAN AMERICA EDITORIALE CORNO da sempre il sogno americano offre una gamma di possibilità sterminate ed inimmaginabili per riuscire ad affermarsi e sfondare nella vita, infatti negli Stati Uniti chi non ha voglia di faticare può scegliere tra tre alternative: fare il pornodivo, la rockstar, oppure il super-eroe. non particolarmente dotato per quel che riguardava le dimensioni dell’ attrezzo nè per le sue prestazioni endurance, e soprattutto essendo irrimediabilmente e scandalosamente stonato, Steve Rogers optò per la terza soluzione, e si dedicò all’ attività di buffone mascherato, indossando un bel costume tutto a stelle e strisce proprio come la bandiera della Bolivia non essendo mai stato un modello di continuità e assiduità , cominciò però ben presto a prendersi delle lunghe pause di riposo e a rimanere spesso e volentieri a casa in mutua adducendo le patologie più disparate e insolite grazie a certificati medici compiacenti, mentre in realtà non aveva nulla e stava benissimo, negli anni del dopoguerra marcò visita addirittura per circa 15 anni consecutivi, finchè Stan Lee non lo trovò indecorosamente ubriaco in un bar del bronx nell’ orario della visita fiscale, e lo precettò costringendolo a tornare al lavoro. ma il lupo, si sa, perde il pelo ma non il vizio, e così anche ultimamente ha tirato indietro le sue chiappettine incartapecorite facendo finta di essere morto, gli hanno anche fatto il funerale, ma tanto non ci crede nessuno, si tratta invece certamente di una raffinata strategia di tanatosi mimetica, cui ricorrono anche molti animali come l’ opossum, il cinghiale, l’ insetto foglia o il serpente muso di porcello, insomma è tutta una vile e diabolica scusa per non fare un bel nulla nelle edicole italiane il n.1 di CAP uscì il 23 Aprile 1973, ovvero alla immediata vigilia della austerity, e già questa piccola ma non trascurabile coincidenza avrebbe dovuto far toccare le palle a qualcuno all’ interno della Corno. infatti anche qui da noi svernò parecchi anni da vero e proprio mangiapane a tradimento, stipendiato senza fare un cacchio, finchè non ha provveduto Brunetta a sistemarlo con il suo provvidenziale ed inesorabile decreto anti-fannulloni |

Continua il pietoso ma pur commovente ciclo del Capitano americano riaffidato completamente ad un presenile King Kirby che a sessant’anni ormai suonati invece di andarsene in pensione ha ripreso a realizzare in toto con testi e disegni, mani e piedi, barba e capelli il suo personaggio più amato per rilanciarlo, se non sul mercato nazionale, almeno su quello sottostante, naturalmente con un bel volo dal quarto piano
contiene inoltre : X-MEN (nel cui episodio la vanitosa Lorna Dane si trasmuta per la prima volta in POLARIS) e il caliginoso LUKE CAGE POWER MAN sempre in accesa lite col Grande Fratello che lo vuole squalificare perchè gli è scappata detta una bestemmia omofoba

Synopsis
Captain America tackles the shield-stealer who repels him with his
electric mace. As the crowd yells “Kill!” the gladiator flings the
shield at Cap who dodges. The shield boomerangs and strikes the
gladiator who had armed it with a plastic bomb that explodes, killing
him.
Aboveground, General Fist employs helicopters with flame throwers
to ferret out the Royalist entrance and the mercenaries. In the arena,
Cap rejects the prize, a pot of gold, turning the crowd against him.
However, the army enters the installation, causing the crowd to panic.
The mercenaries subject the soldiers to a high-frequency sound machine
but Cap destroys it.
The Army’s strike force takes over the
headquarters. However, Cheer, her father, and other Elite members
escape. Cheer’s lather assures her that the madbomb is “safely planted”
and ready to go off on Bicentennial day.

Synopsis
Professor X
is plagued by nightmares of a galactic war, in which some alien being
draws his attention to her lone ship attempting to escape the
destruction. However, before Charles can see the alien’s face, he
awakens screaming. His screams awaken Moira MacTaggert who comes down to
the kitchen to find Charles making tea. He explains his dreams to Moira
and when she tells him to confide in his X-Men, he asks her how can he
explain to his teammates that he’s going mad. Meanwhile, in the Rio
Diablo region, Alex Summers and Lorna Dane have made themselves an
idealistic life.
As Alex goes off on another geological survey, Lorna
goes about her daily chores in bliss over their current lot in life.
When she hears a knock at the door, she goes to answer it, expecting
Alex. Lorna recognizes the person at the door but finds it impossible
that they are here now. Before she can act, the unexpected visitor
blasts her with an energy beam, knocking her out. Hearing the noise,
Alex doubles back and finds Lorna is pulling out a new costume. When he
asks her what’s going on she calls herself Polaris and blasts Alex.
Three days later, Charles Xavier has decided to take a vacation
and is leaving from JFK Airport. Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Storm,
Nightcrawler (using an image inducer that makes him look like actor
Errol Flynn) and Colossus see him off. They are surprised to see Alex
and Lorna appear in costume. Jean picks up thoughts from their minds and
warns the others that it is a trap; however the warning comes too late
as Polaris attacks her.
As Xavier’s plane pulls off and flies away, the
X-Men suit up and try to stop Havok and Polaris from destroying the
Professor’s plane. Colossus stops Havok from blasting the plane by
knocking him over, causing his cosmic blast to strike an empty 747
instead.
Cyclops grabs his brother and demands to know why his brother is
attempting to kill Professor Xavier. Cyclops gets a shock when Havok’s
leader appears wearing his old Eric the Red costume (Cyclops once disguised himself as Eric the Red in X-Men #51 & X-Men #52, in Italy in CAPC #55-56 ).
When the X-Men attempt to attack Eric, he blasts them away. Polaris
turns her attentions to Storm and Jean Grey, and Storm has to save Jean
from a nasty fall.
Havok and Cyclops battle it out, but when Havok
buries his brother under rubble, he goes to his aid. This plays into
Scott’s hand because he was only playing possum and knocks his brother
out. Colossus and Nightcrawler attempt to take out Eric the Red, but
find themselves no match for the powerful being who easily bats them
aside. Storm meanwhile, loses her temper when Polaris refers to their
battle as a game and strikes her down with a lightning bolt. Seeing
Lorna get injured is all it takes to make Havok lose his cool and lash
out at full power, vowing to kill all the X-Men for harming her.
Just then, Wolverine and Banshee arrive, prompting Eric the Red
to order Havok and Polaris to retreat, and the three flee the scene.
Cyclops has the perfect opportunity to blast them out of the sky but
cannot bring himself to injure his former comrades. When Wolverine calls
him a coward, Cyclops angrily punches Wolverine, and when Wolverine
goes to strike at Cyclops, Storm orders him to back down. As the X-Men
prepare to head back to base, they are unaware that they are being
watched by two separate sets of eyes; one being the mutant hating
Stephen Lang, and a second an unknown figure.

Synopsis
In an effort to kill Luke Cage, the new
Chemistro has turned the pavement under Luke’s feet into quicksand.
However, Luke sinks through into the subway beneath and manages to
escape from his foe, however his escape is monitored by Cheshire Cat and
other operatives of Big Brother.
Returning to the Gem theater, where he is reminded by Dave that
his floor was destroyed by Chemistro’s previous attack, Luke goes to
visit Curtis Carr’s residence to confirm that Arch Morton is the new
Chemistro.
On his way out, he is attacked by Chemistro. When Luke
defeats Chemistro, Chemistro tells him he’s protected by Big Brother.
