da sempre il sogno americano offre una gamma di possibilità sterminate ed inimmaginabili per riuscire ad affermarsi e sfondare nella vita, infatti negli Stati Uniti chi non ha voglia di faticare può scegliere tra tre alternative: fare il pornodivo, la rockstar, oppure il super-eroe.
non particolarmente dotato per quel che riguardava le dimensioni dell’ attrezzo nè per le sue prestazioni endurance, e soprattutto essendo irrimediabilmente e scandalosamente stonato, Steve Rogers optò per la terza soluzione, e si dedicò all’ attività di buffone mascherato, indossando un bel costume tutto a stelle e strisce proprio come la bandiera della Bolivia
non essendo mai stato un modello di continuità e assiduità , cominciò però ben presto a prendersi delle lunghe pause di riposo e a rimanere spesso e volentieri a casa in mutua adducendo le patologie più disparate e insolite grazie a certificati medici compiacenti, mentre in realtà non aveva nulla e stava benissimo, negli anni del dopoguerra marcò visita addirittura per circa 15 anni consecutivi, finchè Stan Lee non lo trovò indecorosamente ubriaco in un bar del bronx nell’ orario della visita fiscale, e lo precettò costringendolo a tornare al lavoro. ma il lupo, si sa, perde il pelo ma non il vizio, e così anche ultimamente ha tirato indietro le sue chiappettine incartapecorite facendo finta di essere morto, gli hanno anche fatto il funerale, ma tanto non ci crede nessuno, si tratta invece certamente di una raffinata strategia di tanatosi mimetica, cui ricorrono anche molti animali come l’ opossum, il cinghiale, l’ insetto foglia o il serpente muso di porcello, insomma è tutta una vile e diabolica scusa per non fare un bel nulla
nelle edicole italiane il n.1 di CAP uscì il 23 Aprile 1973, ovvero alla immediata vigilia della austerity, e già questa piccola ma non trascurabile coincidenza avrebbe dovuto far toccare le palle a qualcuno all’ interno della Corno. infatti anche qui da noi svernò parecchi anni da vero e proprio mangiapane a tradimento, stipendiato senza fare un cacchio, finchè non ha provveduto Brunetta a sistemarlo con il suo provvidenziale ed inesorabile decreto anti-fannulloni

E’ soltanto la prima tappa di un lungo tour guidato che lo porterà pian piano a visitare tutti i luoghi suggeriti dai lettori, a cominciare da Fano, per proseguire a La Malora, a Quel Paese, a In Mona, a Fartifottere a Pijarteloinculo, a Cagare, a Se Fuder in Brasile, ed in tanti altri favolosi posti dove se non ci vai da solo sono gli altri che ti ci mandano

Synopsis
Steve finds that the reputation
of Captain America has its uses as he arrives on the scene of a siege
of Cobra and Viper only to have the police knock him out and tie him up
since they don’t want some unknown super hero getting in their way.
The police wind up getting massacred. Nomad frees himself and defeats
the two Serpent Squaders, with Viper seemingly dying.
The Serpent Crown manages to hide itself, though.
Back in NYC, the Falcon and one of the fake Caps, whose real name is Roscoe, get captured in a set-up by the Red Skull.

- Frank Robbins begins his tenure as regular artist on this title. He will be the regular artist through Captain America #192 (in Italy in CAPC #104).
- The plot regarding Roxxon Oil and the Serpent Crown continues in Avengers #141 (in Italy in THC #167) through Avengers #149 (in Italy in THC #173).

Synopsis
After a rash of “vampire killings” that have hit the area, Luke Cage
finds himself attacked by a supposed vampire. Fighting off the
creature, it leaves him a message in blood telling Luke to stop him
before he kills again, he signs the note Janus Trevarkian.
When Luke tracks down Trevarkian’s home, he finds a coffin and
various occult items located inside. He decides to seek the aid of R.
Lambert Martinson, who tells him how to kill a vampire. After
interviewing people around town, Luke is once more attacked by the Night
Shocker.
The Night Shocker however turns out to be Martinson himself, who
is the lover of Janus’ landlord. The two have conspired to kill Janus
for money owed to them by having Martinson (disguised as Janus) attack
people dressed like a vampire. They then hoped to “attack” the landlord,
and have Luke kill the real Janus.
However, Luke sees through this ploy and busts both Martinson and his partner in crime.
Notes
- This story was inspired by Kolchak the Night Stalker
television series, which also had a number of made-for-TV movies based
upon it. The series featured Carl Kolchak, a reporter (played by Darren
McGavin) who would often get involved solving mysteries of a
supernatural bent. This was a script that Steve Englehart prepared for the series.

Synopsis
Three men think they are playing a trick on an old man by
broadcasting radio messages that he picks up and believes to be from
another planet. They try to send him another message, but something
blocks the transmission, and when they break down his door he is missing
with only a message pad on the table that says “They have come for me
at last!”
