Nella storia principale ancora un forzato ed artificioso team-up imposto a SPIDERMAN per esigenze commerciali ed obblighi contrattuali, stavolta con il rustico e bestiale Hank McCoy dimenticato (forse apposta) all’ autogrill dagli altri X-Men

Synopsis
While web-slinging through the city in the rain, Spider-Man suddenly sees a man falling out of the sky.
In saving him, the two are plunged into the harbor where they are pulled out by the Beast.
They learn that the man who they rescued is a scientist was responsible for turning John Horton into the Griffin, a mutate which Beast battled before.
Explaining how the Griffin broke out of prison to get revenge on the scientist for turning him into a monster. With his explanation finished, the scientist dies in Spider-Man’s arms.
The Beast and Spider-Man then decide to work together to bring the Griffin into custody.
They are soon attacked by the Griffin himself, and their battle takes them across the city to the George Washington Bridge where the two heroes work together to defeat the Griffin.
At the end the villain knocked unconscious, but at the cost of holding up traffic on the bridge. When a rich woman complains to the arriving police about how Spider-Man and the Beast made her wait in traffic for 15 minutes, Spider-Man webs her feet to the pavement before leaving.

- More details are given this issue on the origin of The Griffin. He first and last appeared in Amazing Adventures #15 (in Italy in CAPC #75). His next appearance will be in Champions #7 (in Italy in THC #182-183).

Synopsis
Iron Man, Black Lama, and Firebrand arrive in Black Lama’s home
dimension and are attacked by castle guards. After a fight, Iron Man and
Firebrand are brought to a hiding spot by Princess Susan and her father
King Jerald, the Black Lama, who explains he’s not a villain, just
temporarily insane. Iron Man doesn’t believe it. Firebrand attacks and
escapes. Baroness Rockier, intending to depose the King, checks in with
Lord Professor Teller. He unleashes his Nulatron robots against Iron
Man, who quickly defeats them. Iron Man agrees to help Black Lama
suppress the revolt, but the longer he stays in this dimension the more
insane he becomes.

Synopsis
The story opens with the Man-Wolf who falls into the path of a
speeding train. He avoids the train, hops back on, slips in to the train
and starts sleeping, exhausted. When the train crosses a bridge
explosives are detonated. The train crashes to its doom killing two men
aboard. The Man-Wolf barely escapes with his life by jumping out.
He then wanders into the forest and collapses from exhaustion and is
awakened the next morning by Joel Stevens and Mary.
John remembers how Kraven recently abused him, and how he was
rescued by Simon Stroud who brought him to his house for a change of
clothes. John uses the opportunity to escape from Shroud. End of
flashback.
Joel and Mary bring John to their home by the lake and give him a
change of clothes. John thinks about his werewolf curse and heads to
Tallulah Gorge on a motorcycle. At the gorge John is shot at by a man
with a rifle. John escapes, transforms into the werewolf and jumps at
the shooter.
