Synopsis
The Human Torch has gotten in the
middle of Spider-Man’s fight with the Lizard, and is bent on destroying
the creature, unaware that Spider-Man wants to avoid such a conclusion.
Try as the Torch might to try and stop the Lizard, Spider-Man stops him
from causing the Lizard any harm. Meanwhile, Billy Connors, having heard
of the Torch’s inclusion in the battle goes after the fight to try and
talk the Human Torch into not hurting his father.
Their fight takes them to the water front, where the Lizard is knocked
into the water, and is knocked out from the excessive heat of the
Torch’s flames and Spider-Man’s struggle with the Lizard underwater.
When Spidey pulls the Lizard out of the water, he finally convinces the
Torch to buzz off by pretending that he has “Spider-Sonic Hearing” and
picked up a distress signal from the Fantastic Four, prompting the Torch
to leave to help out his comrades.
Spidey then carries the Lizard to what he thinks is a safe place and
begins looking for something that will change the Lizard back into Curt
Connors. When Billy arrives on the scene, the Lizard breaks free and
threatens the boy. Spider-Man uses a dehydrating powder on the Lizard,
causing the creature to change back into Connors. With the Lizard once
more defeated, Connors is reunited with his family, who once more thank
Spider-Man for helping them. Afterwords, Spider-Man returns to the city
where he wonders what will happen when the Torch realizes he’s been
tricked.

Synopsis
Continued from last issue…
While at first the Amphibian has the upper hand, the Hulk soon
overpowers the creature and throws it into orbit. The Watcher, seeing
that the battle has been won by the Hulk, transports the Amphibian back
to its home world.
With the battle over, the Watcher — not wishing to interfere —
transports the Hulk back to his home world where the Hulk collects the
Ultimate Machine, in spite of the Watcher’s warnings. The Hulk is then
suddenly transported back to Earth where the Leader takes the Ultimate
Machine from the Hulk. When trying to use the device, the machine
affixes around the Leader’s head, seemingly killing him.

Synopsis
With the Leader seemingly killed by the Watcher’s Ultimate Machine,
the Hulk leaves the Leader’s hideout with the Ultimate Machine to figure
out what he should do next. While back at the military base, General
Ross is overseeing the final implementation of the T-Ray, the “last”
invention of Bruce Banner. Betty visits her father to try and appeal to
him to release Rick Jones, who has been prisoner for being the only
person who may know the Hulk’s true identity.
While out in the desert, the Hulk tries to use the Ultimate
Machine and it broadcasts to him the whereabouts of Rick. Finding that
the boy is in trouble, and that only appealing to the President at the
White House will free him, the Hulk leaves the Ultimate Machine behind
to go and save his friend. After being left unattended, the Watcher has
the Ultimate Machine returned to his home.
The Hulk’s travels to Washington D.C. land the Hulk in conflict
with the military once more, and before the Hulk can breach the White
House he is blasted with the T-Ray. When the blinding flash ends, the
Hulk finds himself in a post-apocalyptic future where soldiers have
arrived to take him prisoner. This story is continued next issue….
Notes
- Death of the Leader. However, through the aid of one of his Humanoids, the Leader is soon resurrected and comes back to torment the Hulk anew in Incredible Hulk #115 (in Italy in URC #113).
- The Watcher (Uatu) appears next in Fantastic Four (Volume 1) #60 (in Italy in F4C #57).

Synopsis
Battling Yandroth‘s creation Voltorg,
Strange slowly begins to learn the machine’s flaws. Meanwhile, Yandroth
grabs Victoria and attempts to make an escape from his base, which is
getting trashed in Strange’s battle against Voltorg. Realizing Voltorg
will strike at whatever it thinks its target it is, Dr. Strange uses a
series of illusions and his levitating ability to trick the machine into
smashing its own face with its electric-prods. Strange uses this as an
opportunity to destroy the creature.
However, Dr. Strange is unable to stop Yandroth from escaping with
Victoria through teleportation tubes. Following them, Strange finds
himself transported to Stone Henge on Earth, there he is confronted by
the spirit of the Ancient One.

- Last issue, the robot was originally called Voltorr. This issue he is called Voltorg.
