Synopsis
Continued from last issue…
More damage occurs and the Avengers discover Giant-Man was correct, so they invade Mole Man’s underground base. Meanwhile, the Red Ghost approaches the Mole Man and they make an alliance.
The Wasp manages to free Giant-Man and the team stops the Mole Man and Red Ghost’s plans.

- The image projector the Wasp uses to try and find Giant Man in this issue was last used in Avengers #3 (in Italy in THC #8) when Iron Man was searching for the Hulk.
- The Red Ghost, who makes his appearance later in this issue, was last seen in Fantastic Four #29 (in Italy in F4C #23). He debuted in Fantastic Four #13 (in Italy in F4C #9) where he and his super-apes battled the Fantastic Four on the moon.
- Thor is next seen in Journey Into Mystery #113 (in Italy in THC #17), where he attempts to reveal his identity as Don Blake to Jane Foster and battles the Grey Gargoyle.

Synopsis
The Avengers prevent the Maggia from commiting another crime. Count Nefaria decides he needs to put the Avengers out of action.
As no one knows he is the leader of the Maggia, he holds a party in his castle and invites the Avengers.
While they sleep after the party Nefaria makes copies of each of the Avengers who he commands to declare war on the United States.
When the real Avengers leave the party they are attacked by the Army.
Attacked by the Army, the Avengers discover what has happened and pursue and battle Nefaria, getting evidence from him that proves their innocence. However, in the battle, the Wasp is critically injured.
Notes
- This is the first appearance of Count Nefaria and the Maggia.
- The Teen Brigade returns after a lengthy absence, having been last seen in Avengers #6 (in Italy in THC #13).
- The Fantastic Four make a brief cameo in this issue. This appearance possibly takes place between their battle against Gregory Gideon in Fantastic Four #34 (in Italy in FAC #29) and their battle against the Dragon Man in Fantastic Four #35 (in Italy in FAC #30).

Synopsis
The Avengers rush the dying Wasp to the emergency room but there is nothing any of the doctors can do for the Wasp. The only man who may be able to save her is a Dr. Svenson. Thor finds him as quickly as he can only to find out he is an alien impostor. The alien dies when exposed to the atmosphere of Earth because its mask was removed. Giant-Man uses his ants to search all over the world but to no avail, so he concludes that wherever he is there are no ants. This leaves the north and south poles. Heading to the north pole they find an alien base, where Dr. Svenson is being held. The aliens are found to be Kallusians, and they are hiding from other aliens who will destroy them. They are soon discovered and have to flee. Dr. Svenson is brought back to America and operates successfully on the Wasp. No one knows whether the Kallusians survived or not.

- This issue credits Paul Laiken as a writer. The letters page reveals that this name is a pseudonym for Larry Ivie.
- Iron Man, Thor, Giant Man, Wasp, Rick Jones, and Captain America were all last seen in Avengers #13 (in Italy in THC # 19-20).
- The Wasp was fatally injured by one of Count Nefaria’s henchmen last issue.
- The Teen Brigade were last seen in Avengers #13(in Italy in THC # 19-20).
- This is the first appearance of the Kallusians and the alien race that drove them from their planet. Their fate following their appearance in Avengers #14 remains to be revealed.
- There is a cameo appearance of Uatu the Watcher, he was last seen in Fantastic Four #20 (in Italy in F4C # 16). where he aided the Fantastic Four against the Molecule Man. He’ll next appear in Strange Tales #134 (in Italy in F4C # 35) where he aids the Human Torch and the Thing against Kang the Conqueror.
- Iron Man is next seen in Tales of Suspense #63 (in Italy in DEVC # 47) where he battles the Phantom.
- Also in Tales of Suspense #63, Captain America’s origin is re-told.
- Giant-Man and Wasp appear in Tales to Astonish #65 (in Italy in URC # 49), where Giant Man gets a new costume.
- Thor is next seen in Journey into Mystery #114(in Italy in THC # 18) where he battles the Absorbing Man.
- Giant Man (Hank Pym) kills a Kallusian in this issue by removing his mask, which supplied the alien with the special type of oxygen he needed to survive.

Synopsis
Zemo decides again to attack the Avengers, and so his agents kidnap Rick Jones. Zemo also contacts the Executioner and the Enchantress and they set free the Black Knight and the Melter. The four villains attack the Avengers while Captain America sets off to the Amazon to rescue Rick. The Avengers and villains in New York fight to a stand still. In the Amazon, Captain America rescues Rick but is then ambushed by Zemo. Captain America is too skilled however, and Zemo accidentally triggers an avalanche which lands on and kills him.
