persistendo per i F4 la sospensione unilaterale ed a tempo indeterminato di ogni attività di gruppo, mentre gli altri 3 membri si godono il piacevole relax dell’ ozio forzato e prolungato, l’unico povero disgraziato che – per colpa di un contratto capestro fattogli firmare con l’inganno da stan lee nel 1962 – è costretto a continuare a lavorare sempre e senza sosta anche in vacanza è il povero cocciutissimo ma inscalfibile Ben Grimm alias LA COSA che stavolta se la spassa nella suggestiva Stonehenge insieme alla solita impudente e sguaiata DONNA RAGNO e al trascendente ciclotimico MODRED IL MISTICO, spesso confuso e scambiato con il quasi omonimo Mordred The Evil, perchè è uno che non sai mai come ha la luna girata e se è buono oppure cattivo, fondatore e capostipite di una rinomata scuola di magia che nei secoli ha avuto discepoli anche famosi ed illustri, come ad esempio il mago Do Nascimiento, esponente particolarmente noto, soprattutto alla polizia
contiene inoltre : MISS MARVEL (in un episodio di taglio alchemico-esoterico dove con la solita poca allegria che la contraddistingue compare pure LA MUMMIA VIVENTE) e PANTERA NERA

“From Stonehenge with Death!” / MODRED IL MISTICO

Synopsis
Taking a trip to Stonehenge, Alicia and the Thing are secretly followed by Spider-Woman.
Meanwhile, the chest uncovered by thieves looking for lost World War II treasure unleashes a mystical force. Arriving at Stonehenge, Thing and Alicia are confronted by four elemental demons: Fire, Aero, Hydro and Mud. Their appearance forces Spider-Woman to reveal herself and defend Ben and Alicia.
The trio are all transported below Stonehenge where they find that all the tourists there have been transported and are being kept as prisoner. The elementals explain that they were summoned to capture Mordred the mystic for Merlin, who has recently been revived in modern times.
They have vowed to capture Mordred even if it means the destruction of the Earth. As the elementals are explaining their mission, Ben and Spider-Woman attack them, but prove unable to make any lasting damage against them.
When all seems lost, Mordred arrives to answer the elementals challenge.
While Mordred and Spider-Woman battle the the elementals, Ben goes looking for Alicia. Mordred transports himself, the elementals and Spider-Woman back to the surface where Mordred uses his magic to convince the elementals to fight each other.
Each opposing element pitted against each other and being destroyed.
After the battle, Mordred transports everyone back to the surface and erases the tourists memories of the experience.
Afterwards, Ben and Alicia depart leaving Mordred to take Spider-Woman under his arm and take her as an apprentice.
Notes
The end of this issue plugs the upcoming Spider-Woman series (che sarà pubblicata su questa stessa collana a partire dal n.245).

Synopsis
Ms. Marvel has just been attacked by Hecate and the Elementals.
Believing that Hecate is their leader she attacks her, and after a brief battle, Ms. Marvel learns that Hecate is not her foe and that she is seeking to stop the Elementals from obtaining the Ruby Scarab.
The Elementals themselves have captured Zephyr and are torturing her in order to force Oldann and Harper into giving up the Scarab.
The ploy works and the Elementals attack Ms. Marvel and Hecate after they’ve obtained it, causing untold damage and effecting the nearby Cape Canaveral, creating the tragedy with Salia Petrie’s space ship that Carol foresaw.
However, Ms. Marvel and Hecate gain the upper hand in battle she prevents the disaster, and Hecate gets the better of the Elementals by turning into their one true fear: The Living Mummy.
This distracts them enough for Ms. Marvel to grab for the scarab causing a huge energy feedback. With the Elementals defeated, Ms. Marvel has changed back to Carol Danvers, and with the Scarab in hand the enraged Carol blames Hecate for the death of her friend.

Synopsis
Continued from last issue…
The Black Panther, Abner Little and Zanda witness an Earth from six-million years in the future.
They see Hatch-22 defending the planet from an alien threat with his vast mental powers.
Hatch-22 begins to awaken, and Mister Little zaps him with a special gun that disorients the brain.
He then brings everyone deeper into his mountain lair where his advanced multi-plane is stored.
With it, they intend on finding the second Frog and returning Hatch-22 to his native time period.
